The Medical Products Division (MPD) is comprised of four departments: Medical Imaging Products (MIP), Medical Equipment and Diagnostics (MED), Technical Service and Medical Products Distribution.

The sales functions of the division are separated into the MIP and MED groups to enhance market penetration and clinical area specialization. These groups have traditionally sold imported medical equipment to hospitals utilizing a direct sales and marketing force for U.S. dollar contracts.

In recent years, we have significantly expanded market access by establishing and growing a national sub-dealer network and utilizing the logistics infrastructure available through our Medical Products Distribution department to offer products for sale in local currency.

The Technical Service department is staffed by factory-trained technical service engineers and utilizes regionally-based spare parts depots. All systems sold by MPD sales departments are serviced in China and Hong Kong by the Technical Service group, offering a full-service distribution platform. The Medical Products Division also employs expert staff to provide Clinical Applications support. The Clinical Applications specialists offer advanced support and training to Chindex's customers nationwide.

Chindex has pioneered the use of government-sponsored financing packages to make attractive financing packages available to cash-strapped hospitals throughout China. Over $40 million in medical equipment has been delivered to Chinese hospitals with the support of U.S. Government-backed loan programs, and Chindex's German subsidiary has won contracts for the supply of over €10 million of medical equipment sold through German Government-sponsored programs.
