U.S.-CHINA INDUSTRIAL EXCHANGE, INC.
ANNOUNCES RESULTS FOR THIRD QUARTER 1996

BETHESDA, MARYLAND - November 1, 1996 - U.S.-China Industrial Exchange, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHDX),today announced its results of operations for the third quarter ended September 30, 1996. For the quarter, net sales were $4,254,000, net commission income was $408,000 and the Company experienced a net loss of (136,000), or ($0.04) per share as compared with net sales of $3,272,000, net income of $54,000, or $0.02 per share, for the quarter ended September 30, 1995.

For the nine months ended September 30, 1996, net sales were $16,832,000, net commission income was $712,000 and the Company experienced net income of $737,000, or $0.22 per share, as compared with net sales of $7,697,000 net commission income of $1,368,000 and a net loss of (737,000), or ($0.22) per share, for the nine months ended September 30, 1995.

U.S.-China Industrial Exchange, Inc. is an established independent marketing and sales organization in the People’s Republic of China for certain Western products, including medical and industrial equipment.
